Your classified must be directly related to the veterinary industry and include contact details in the body of the classified. If a classified does not include contact details, we will add your supplied information to your classified.

All classifieds are reviewed and subject to approval by Provet during office hours. Please allow a minimum of 1 business day for your classified to be approved.

Provet Classifieds are a free service and Provet reserves the right to reject a submitted classified for any reason.

A well-established, privately owned hospital in Brisbane has an exciting new opportunity for a motivated practice manager to help lead the team and work in a vibrant and busy environment, providing quality care to pets.

The practice is looking for a friendly, professional and organised manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a reputable, multicentre organisation alongside friendly staff and clients. The ideal applicant must have commitment, strong dedication, enthusiasm and great communication skills, along with the ability to engage with team leaders and clinicians and implement proactive measures to grow the business.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Excellent communication and a strong customer service ethos

- Willingness to learn and work as a team

- Previous experience as a Practice Manager in a health care field or of a medium-size business

- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask

- Ability to motivate other team members and maintain a positive working environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and willingness to get the job done a fast-paced & challenging environment

- Ability to follow instructions and meet set standards

- Dependable and reliable in character and possess a strong work ethic

- Formal tertiary level training in business management with a focus on marketing or Human resource management would be highly regarded

- Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in the development of local business plans to meet the objectives of the practice

-Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and managing a team by inspiring confidence in and displaying behaviours in accordance with the organisation's values

Some of the key roles of the practice manager are:

- Coach, lead and develop the reception team

- Develop and champion action plans for achieving company goals. Communicate with the teams through regular discussions and meetings

- Be directly involved in the front desk operations and be ready and willing to welcome clients at our intake reception area

- Engage in regular performance management activities of staff to include selection, coaching and evaluating performance against KPI's

- Create and maintain all staff schedules and rosters in conjunction with team leaders

- Assure that the clinic's physical facilities are properly maintained and in excellent condition at all times for clinicians and clients

- Ensure that consumables and equipment are kept stocked and maintained

- Communicate, implement, enforce and comply with all policies and procedures

- Coach, mentor and support practice employees to ensure excellent internal and external customer and patient service is provided

- You will be working closely with the business manager to ensure the practice is run in an efficient and profitable manner

- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the clinic are run in an efficient and timely manner

- Schedule and organise high-quality CE events for veterinarians and/or clients

- Prepare management reports as requested for consideration by the partners

- Support, foster and role model a positive and proactive management culture within the practice

- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and client care plan for the practice
